The Formed Wire Dead-End uses two helically shaped formed wire components: an inner layer of structural reinforcing rods and an outer-layer dead-end component to distribute axial and compressive loads over the applied area of the OPGW. The distribution of these loads reduces stresses on the central core and optical fibers of the OPGW.

The Formed Wire Dead-End uses two helically shaped formed wire components: an inner layer of structural reinforcing rods and an outer-layer dead-end component to distribute axial and compressive loads over the applied area of the OPGW. The distribution of these loads reduces stresses on the central core and optical fibers of the OPGW.
A full set of the tension set include dead end component, structural reinforcing rods and the matched fittings. The grip strength of this clamp is bigger than 95% of the rated tensile strength. This kind of clamp have simple structure, easy to installation and also enables to reduce the cost.
